1. How to download your templates or printables after a purchase on Etsy?
Did you purchase your template or printable on Etsy? Please follow the steps below to download your downloadable PDF file. Follow these steps if you’ve completed your purchase on Isleoftemplates.com.
Downloading your purchase can be a little tricky. Sometimes the Etsy system doesn’t work in our favor. However, here is a guide to help you out:
1. Use your desktop. Simply sign in to Etsy.com and go to Your account. Note: don’t sign in on the mobile app. Unfortunatelly, the download button isn’t always visible in the Etsy app.
2. Go to Purchases and reviews: www.etsy.com/your/purchases?ref=hdr_user_menu-txs
3. Next to the order, select Download Files. This goes to the Downloads page for all the files attached to your order.
4. Don’t have an Etsy account? No problem! Check your email for a download notification. Make sure to check your spam folder if you can’t find it.
You have now downloaded your PDF to your computer. If you purchased a printable, you can start using it right away. If you have bought a Canva template, please go to section 2.2 ‘Open and edit your template in Canva’ and follow these steps to start editing your template in Canva.

2. How to download your Canva Templates after a purchase on Isleoftemplates.com?
Did you complete your purchase on Etsy? Please folow the steps above to download your canva template or printable.
When you purchase Canva templates, you will receive an email with a downloadable PDF. In this PDF, you will find several clickable buttons. Below is an example: Open this PDF on your computer, as some phones may not support clickable buttons in PDFs. If the buttons are not clickable, try opening the PDF in a different program. Adobe Reader (available for free) is recommended. Programs like Notepad or Paint are not suitable.
2.1 Open and edit your template in Canva
Through the buttons, you can open the template in Canva. If you have never done this before, it is best to first download my tutorial e-book below. In this e-book, I guide you step-by-step on creating a (free) Canva account and opening the Canva templates. On page 2 of this e-book, we explain how to create your own Canva account. On page 3, we explain how to open your Canva Template in Canva.
Note: The PDF you receive after your purchase contains the link to the Canva Template. Therefore, after opening the PDF on your computer, click the button in the PDF. This will open a new screen and take you directly to Canva (see page 3 of the tutorial e-book for this). It is NOT intended to open the PDF itself in Canva. If you do this, the buttons will not work, and your template will not open.
Once you have opened your template in Canva, it’s time to start editing! The tutorial e-book provides an overview of Canva’s basic functions. Take your time to browse through this e-book if you are new to Canva.
2.2 What do you need to work with these Canva Templates?
- A Canva account (you can register for free if you don’t have an account yet).
- Personal images or images from the Canva library: Note that the examples show various images in the templates. You will receive the templates without the displayed images because I cannot share them due to copyright issues. You can find these images yourself in Canva, but it’s best to add your own photos. Each photo spot has a handy frame where you can easily drag and drop your images, Some images may require Canva Pro. However, there are plenty of free images available, so paying for Canva is not necessary to work with these templates. It’s just a personal choice.
3. How to download your printables after a purchase on Isleoftemplates.com?
When you purchase a printable, you will receive an email with a downloadable PDF. You can click on the button in this email to download your printable to your computer. Save the printable on your device and your printable is ready to be used or printed at home. Below you’ll see a overview of what you can do with your printable.
